    The Rwanda Psychological Society in partnership with the University of Western and University of Global Health Equity are embarking on an Interdisciplinary Development Initiative (IDI) “Health Equity in Context: Local Solutions for Global Problems” and the IDI team have launched alternative learning experience in Rwandan community since 2019 in which graduate and Undergraduate students and experts from University and other institutions as well as community members can interact in a shared platforms called Mbwira Ndumva Symposium.

    Right now, as the world is in a global health crisis a kind of we have not seen in decades and around the world countries are attempting to figure out what they can do to limit its impact as well as find a vaccine.

    Some of yet to be deeply researched on is the extent in which COVID-19 has on Domestic Violence and Gender Based Violence but reports have shown a dramatic increase in cases.

    It is from this background that we invite to join discussion as we talk about how the pandemic has affected families on Wednesday the 30th September as we will be hosting a webinar panel to discuss on this issue and what can be done to reduce the impact.

    You will hear from our speakers working in the area and other participants.
